Boring is an adjective that I have never heard anyone use to describe me. I like to change things up and try new things. Now that the weather is getting nicer the date ideas become more plentiful. Here are some of my favorites:
- Grab a pick-up truck, blanket, bottle of wine (just be careful because most do not allow alcohol), and head to the drive-in movie theater. Many of them open in March! Warwick Drive-In is one of my favorite.
- Pack a picnic lunch and head on over to a local winery. Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery and Applewood Winery are two of my favorites. You can even check their websites or call them to find out if they have live entertainment or special events going on.
- Plan a camping weekend getaway. Look for places with nearby hiking, tubing, rafting, antique shopping, or whatever your interests may be.
4. Pick up a new hobby to do together. Whether it is running 5k races, dance lessons, or BYOB paint studios. There are so many different 5k you can do from The Color Run, Electric Run to Insane Inflatable 5k. You can check out your local dance studios, a lot of times they offer free introductory classes or a discount price for new members. Check our your local BYOB paint studios for couple or event nights. Uptown Art near me is doing an event in collaboration with the New Jersey Devils where you receive early admission into a hockey game, two hour paint party, a Devils themed gift, and a ticket to the game.
As the flowers start to bloom, daylight grows longer, and the weather starts to change make sure to change up your date night regimine. Get outside, get some exercise, and plan some fun activities with that special someone in your life!
